Originally inspired by the glam rock band Kiss, Stan ended up with his first drum kit at about 13 years of age. He spent a few years jamming with mates until eventually forming a covers band in the mid 80’s. The next 10 years were spent cutting his teeth playing drums in some great local bands while occasionally taking up vocal duties when required.

Stan was another founding member of The Pink Floyd Experience and for the first time in 1997 became the lead vocalist as opposed to being a singing drummer. This was to be a time of tremendous growth for him as a performer and for his confidence as he had to learn to communicate with the audience in a new way, and was also faced with the challenge of playing to a sober audience in a seated venue! Stan still gets the opportunity to show his ability on drums as part of The Pink Floyd Experience shows, but he is now very much at home as the frontman of the band.

Out side of rock music Stan is an avid collector of rocks, and has collected rocks from all over the world to amass what is now a rather large collection!
