Bass
Music was a strong feature of Ken’s early childhood – his mother, an accomplished ukulele and guitar player, accompanied by uncles and aunts in full voice, would sing and party late into the night.
Some of his early musical influences included Jimi Hendrix; John Mayall and the Blues-Breakers; AC/DC; Dire Straits; Police; Led Zeppelin; and of course Pink Floyd.
Over the years Ken played guitar in a number of different cover bands playing Rock & R&B, Gospel & Blues, Funk & Disco.
His first experience of The Pink Floyd Experience arose when his friend Rob Ju had just become the band’s new drummer. They were already doing a tribute show based on Pink Floyd’s PULSE album. Ken went to see the gig which was set up in an old warehouse and was utterly blown away.
As is happened, in 1999 the bass player was leaving the band. Ken, although a guitar player at that time, was asked to audition. He rushed home and started learning Floyd songs on bass, went to the audition … and the rest is history.
