A guitar player now for nearly 30 years, Darren has played in numerous bands and various styles of music. After 15 of those years playing gigs in smokey bars, the opportunity presented itself for him to get involved with a couple of mates and get a Pink Floyd band off the ground. With a view to breaking free of the bar scene they spent about a year learning the material and trying to nail the Floyd sound, and in 1997 The Pink Floyd Experience was born. Since their first performance in a Wellington warehouse, they haven’t looked back and have continuously strived to develop and improve the show and their own individual performances.

Also along the way Darren has had to acquire many new skills such as management, marketing, production, touring logistics etc, so it’s been a hugely valuable experience, and the success of the project is testament to the massive effort that Darren and the others have made to create such a successful outfit.

Darren’s tastes in music are not just limited to Floyd, he likes a lot of classic rock, Blues, Funk, R & B, Motown, Reggae, Hip Hop and the list goes on…
